Should children play in the rain, wind and snow? Yes they should!
At White House Nursery we ask parents to bring appropriate clothing for all weather throughout the year, especially now the weather has turned cold and wet. Playing outside in all weather is beneficial for children’s learning and holistic development.
As parents you will know if your child prefers playing indoors or outdoors in any weather, therefore it is important to follow and allow the child’s interest to guide their learning and ensure they are equipped to do so. At all our sites we have outdoor classrooms in our gardens to encourage children to learn, develop, explore and have the continuous learning opportunities outside as they do inside, regardless of the weather and if the child chooses to do so.
