As you may know, throughout the Summer period each White House Nursery holds a Garden Party to raise funds for a very special children's charity. Parents, children and their families are invited to enjoy a range of stalls, games and refreshments together - whilst supporting a fantastic cause. Past charities include 'Make A Wish' and 'Little Miracles'.
Our Garden Parties are always incredibly popular events, and we continue to receive outstanding support from our parents each year.
For Summer 2019 we have decided to bring all of our staff, children, parents and families together for one big Garden Party, which will be held on our fantastic playing field between Borrowash nursery and Kids Club. This year is set to be the biggest and best Garden Party to date! With a visit from Derby County's very own "Rammie", hot food catering from Becky's Burgers, not one but TWO bouncy castles, and for the first time ever we will be joined by DSB photography who will be offering family photo shoots from our Toddler room.
Our chosen charity for this year is The Rainbow Trust - they are a brilliant charity working with families who have a child aged 0-18 with a life threatening or terminal illness. Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life limiting or life threatening condition who may require palliative care. Many of these children and their families are able to cope or are not in a ‘crisis situation’. However, thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may die and struggle to cope on a day to day basis...

All the planning and preparations for the day are well underway, and The Big Garden Party promises to bring an enjoyable and fun filled event for all of our families across our Borrowash, Oakwood, Alvaston, Alfreton and Kids Club settings... so grab some change, bring the family and join us from 10AM until 1PM on Saturday 27th July, we'd love to see you there!

If you have any of the below items which could be donated to our raffle, tombola, chocolate game or bottle game - please drop them off at the office of your nursery, we would really appreciate it!
- Full bottles or cans of wine, beer, champagne, spirits, soft drinks, condiments, shampoo, bubble bath, perfume & cleaning products, as well as unwanted bottle bags for our bottle game!
- All kids of household items, gift sets, ornaments, seasonal items, hampers, candles & cosmetics
